Job summary

Birchwood Nursing is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in providing compassionate care to residents. You will support daily living activities, document vitals and intake, and collaborate with the care team to uphold quality standards.

The position emphasizes strong attendance, respectful communication, and adherence to safety policies while delivering respectful, person-centered care to elderly residents.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Nursing Assistant Certification from the State of Texas.
• Ability to accurately record information and perform basic clinical procedures.
• Strong communication, patience, and compassionate care for residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including grooming, bathing, catheter care, pericare, and dressing.
• Maintain resident environment by changing linens and stocking supplies.
• Support mobility through safe ambulation and transfers with proper body mechanics.
• Record vitals, weights, intake/output, and meal consumption accurately.
• Assist with positioning and comfort through routine turning and ROM exercises.
• Encourage engagement and orient residents as directed.
