Job summary

Mystic Healthcare in Groton, CT, is seeking a compassionate part-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide high-quality, resident-centered care. Join our caring team at a 100-bed skilled nursing facility within the Ryders Health Management family.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, mobility, vital signs, meals, room care, and infection control, while communicating with residents, families, and the care team.

Qualifications

• Valid Connecticut CNA certification is required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Compassionate, resident-centered attitude with good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Support mobility including transfers, repositioning, and use of mobility aids as needed.
• Take and record vital signs and monitor for changes in condition.
• Serve meals and assist with feeding; monitor intake and output as required.
• Maintain clean, sanitary resident rooms and common areas; provide basic room care.
• Assist with incontinence care while preserving resident dignity.
• Observe status and provide companionship; notify nurse of changes.
• Communicate needs and status to residents, families, and the care team.
• Follow infection control and safety policies.
