Job summary

Maplewood Senior Living in Newtown, CT is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for part-time night shifts (11pm–7am) in the Resident Care department. You will assist residents with daily activities, support mobility, and help maintain dignity and comfort.

The role requires current Connecticut Nurse Aide Registration, physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, and the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut Nurses Aide Registration is required.
• Experience and passion in working with seniors is preferred.
• Able to perform tasks that may be physically demanding including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, families, peers and staff.
• In good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with all care needs including bathing, dressing, continence care, dining and mobility support.
• Engaging residents through interaction and conversation, as well as programs and activities.
• Working hand in hand with the nursing team to ensure resident care needs are met.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe work environment and assisting residents by maintaining resident rooms.
