Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Certified Nurse Assistant for the Med Surg Unit at the Ft. Thomas Hospital in Kentucky. Shift/Hours: Full time, 36 hours per week.

The CNA will provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of an RN or LPN, assisting with activities of daily living and maintaining a safe environment. On-the-job training and orientation are provided, with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Assistant in the state of work.
• English reading and communication proficiency.
• Completion of applicable state CNA courses.
• Successful completion of CNA exam for certification.
• Not listed on State Abuse Registry.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN/LPN direction.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Position patients, assist with meals, and document intake/output.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of patients.
• Attend education programs and mandatory in-service days to maintain licensure.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
