Job summary

Providence Seward Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff under direct supervision. You will help maintain a safe, clean environment and assist with patient care as delegated by the RN, focusing on safe, hazard-free surroundings.

Nursing services delivered by the CNA under the scope of practice are supervised by and report to the licensed nurses. Providence emphasizes patient-centered care and a culture of mutual respect across Alaska.

Qualifications

Successful completion of Caring Reliably, Culinary Training, ServSafe, and Dining Assistance within four months of hire.
Completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant
Upon hire: Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License
Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
6 months experience as a nurse aide, nursing assistant or personal care attendant in long term care or hospital.

Responsibilities

Facilitate a safe and secure environment for patient/resident, family and providers in the department during the shift and communicate needs to the RN.
Provide nursing services under the supervision of licensed nurses.
Maintain a clean, hazard-free environment to support patient-focused care.
