Job summary

Winnebago-Comprehensive-Healthcare-System is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for inpatient (and potential outpatient) care. The role involves basic personal care, vital sign measurements, and assisting with activities of daily living to promote quality healthcare delivery.

The CNA will document encounters in the EHR, assist with patient transfers, collect specimens, and respond promptly to patient needs while maintaining infection control and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Currently licensed as a Nursing Assistant.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsibilities

• Provides or assists patients with personal hygiene.
• Obtains vital sign measurements.
• Obtains intake/output.
• Uses glucometer to obtain blood glucose.
• Assists with activities of daily living.
• Assists with ambulation and patient transfers.
• Collects specimens for laboratory testing.
• Monitors patients at risk for fall or suicide ideation.
• Stock medical supply items.
• Cleans and maintains medical equipment.
• Documents patient encounters in the Electronic Health Record.
• Responds to patient requests promptly.
• Reports abnormal vital signs to the Registered Nurse.
• Notices changes in patient condition and informs the RN promptly.
• Maintains a clean work environment.
• Follows Infection Control practices.
• Provides excellent customer service.
• Performs clerical duties.
