Job summary

Visiting Angels Albuquerque is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support local seniors with compassionate care in the Albuquerque area, including Cedar Crest. The role emphasizes mobility assistance, personal care, and companionship, with opportunities to advance through dementia or Alzheimer’s care training.

You will contribute to home care, light housekeeping, meals, transportation, and social engagement while upholding health and safety standards and reporting any incidents

Qualifications

• Physical endurance and ability to perform caregiving tasks.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able).
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly in emergencies.
