Mercyhealth is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide hands-on patient care under RN supervision. The role includes vital signs, bladder scanning support, telemetry setup, and assisting with catheters and drains. You will float to units as needed and help train new partners.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CNA program.
• Current CNA certificate in applicable state.
• Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as assigned and per routine as defined by educational scope.
• Answers call lights in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Documents care provided according to standards.
• Maintains a clean work and patient environment.
• Floats to various units based on identified patient care needs.
• Training/precepting new partners with unit educator.
• Blood Glucose Monitoring (BGM) with lab personnel.
• Bladder scanning procedure reviewed and bladder scanner training completed.
• Attaching patient to remote telemetry or bedside cardiac monitor.
• Managing and reporting collection devices and catheter care.
