Job summary

Tennessee Quality Care is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide hands-on personal care and assist with activities daily living for patients recovering from surgery or illness. Duties include baths, hygiene, mobility support, and basic nursing tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities include monitoring vitals, assisting with self-administration of medications, and reporting any changes to the supervising nurse.

Qualifications

• Certified by the state as a nurse aide.
• Meets the training requirements and completes them.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Must have CPR certification or equivalent per agency/state/federal regulations.
• Reliable transportation, current driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Providing hands-on personal care including baths, oral hygiene, shampoos, changing bed linen, dressing assistance, skin care, toileting assistance, and maintaining a clean living area.
• Taking and recording temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered (with skills competency).
• Performing simple procedures as an extension of nursing services as ordered (with competency).
• Assisting patients in self-administration of medication.
• Reporting changes to the assigned nurse or case manager.
