Job summary

Alexandria Health and Rehabilitation is a skilled nursing facility in Alexandria, Indiana. We seek compassionate Certified Nurse Assistants to join our team, working under a licensed nurse to provide basic care and to support residents with daily activities according to the plan of care.

The role requires CNA certification or enrollment in a state-recognized CNA training program, patience, tact, and physical ability for standing, bending, and lifting.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant; or in a State recognized and approved training program to become a CNA.
• Should have patience and tact in dealing with anyone at the facility.
• Must display good emotional health and be capable of extended periods of standing, bending and heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report any changes in residents' health status to the Charge Nurse on an ongoing basis.
• Provide assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, skin care).
• Follow instructions and complete records under supervision.
• Document all care given and observations made while giving care.
• Follow Magnolia Health Systems guidelines in dealing with patient care.
