Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct care to residents in a skilled nursing facility, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity. You will assist with personal hygiene, feeding, documentation, and respond to residents' needs under supervision.

Responsibilities include recognizing changes in resident condition and reporting promptly to the shift nurse, maintaining a clean, safe environment, and helping prevent abuse of vulnerable adults.

Qualifications

• Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry or obtains within 4 months of hire/ transfer date.
• If transitioning from the Nursing Assistant – Student position, must have registration upon hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to skilled nursing facility residents, ensuring safety and comfort, within the nursing assistant scope.
• Assist with personal hygiene and nutritional needs for residents.
• Recognize and report changes in resident condition to shift nurse.
• Maintain a safe, clean, attractive environment for residents.
• Identify safety hazards and prevent abuse of vulnerable adults in care of Essentia Health facility.
