Job summary

St. Catherine’s Village in Madison, Mississippi seeks a Nursing Assistant to assist with daily resident care under RN supervision. You will support activities of daily living, ensure dignity and safety, and document care provided for each resident.

The role requires compassion, ability to work within a team, and adherence to facility policies. Prior CNA certification is preferred and a strong work ethic is essential.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient-focused care for elderly residents.
• Ability to work as part of a care team in a skilled nursing environment.
• Strong communication with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and supports the Christian mission, values and philosophy of St. Catherine’s Village.
• Performs routine Nursing Assistant duties according to approved assignments.
• Supports activities with residents to promote the highest possible level of functioning.
• Provides supervision and assistance with toileting and personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, walking).
• Serves meals and provides eating assistance per instructions.
• Completes required documentation for medical records and future planning.
• Operates equipment properly and maintains cleanliness; ensures sanitation.
• Follows Village and Department policies; maintains resident confidentiality.
• Reports pertinent resident information to the Charge Nurse.
• Observes fire, safety and disaster procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
