Job summary

Qualified candidates hold a valid CNA license, offer at least 6 months of CNA experience, and demonstrate a genuine desire to assist ill and elderly residents. English proficiency and cooperative interpersonal skills are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed CNA with current certification.
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a CNA or clinical experience during CNA training.
• Must possess a sincere desire to serve the ill, aged and infirm.
• Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as assigned and per facility policies and nursing care procedures.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours thereafter.
• Verify the identification of a resident before administering care or serving meals.
• Report missing ID bands to admission coordinator immediately.
• Make beds, clean bedside and overbed tables.
• Assure water pitchers are cleaned, filled with fresh water and within resident reach.
• Other related duties as directed by Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator.
