Job summary

Sunnyside Manor in New Jersey is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct and indirect resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. CNAs assist residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity, independence, safety, and quality of life in accordance with facility policies and state and federal regulations.

The role requires compassionate care, effective communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Requires Certified Nursing Assistant certification in New Jersey.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to provide compassionate care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral hygiene.
• Assist residents with mobility including transferring, positioning, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions to the licensed nurse promptly.
• Take and record vital signs as assigned.
• Assist with meals and document intake when necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care.
• Respond to resident call lights promptly.
• Provide emotional support and companionship while respecting dignity and privacy.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized resident environment.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times.
• Participate in care planning and communicate with the care team.
• Observe and report safety hazards or incidents.
