Job summary

Snow Canyon Retirement Community seeks a compassionate Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to provide physical and psychosocial care, promoting dignity and independence for residents. You will support daily living activities, document care, and work with a caring team in a welcoming setting.

Experience in assisted living is preferred; you will follow safety protocols and report changes in residents’ conditions promptly to supervisors. This is a full-time, on-site role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
• Must maintain certification for a Certified Nurse Aide.
• Satisfactory completion of the company Resident Assistant skills competency checklist.
• Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases; lifting, bending, and pushing medication cart about residence is required.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor.
• Experience in Assisted Living preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides all necessary care and services to assigned residents and assists other wellness department associates as needed.
• Works collaboratively with peers and other team members.
• Provides assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, toileting, eating, and ambulation.
• Maintains professional demeanor when interacting with residents and families.
• Reports any suspected or witnessed abuse to licensed staff immediately.
• Uses safe transfer techniques when assisting residents with mobility.
• Washes residents’ laundry as needed.
• Follows infection control procedures and safety rules.
• Documents provision of services on company forms.
• Escorts residents and coordinates internal transportation needs.
• Assists residents with personal correspondence/telephone use when requested.
• Observes and reports changes in residents’ condition to Wellness Director or supervisor.
• Conducts room checks and resident rounds.
• Monitors environmental safety hazards.
• Respond to emergencies promptly; reports to supervisor.
• Uses tactful communication in sensitive situations.
• Follows up on complaints or concerns.
