Job summary

University of Southern California (USC) Verdugo Hills Hospital is seeking a Care Partner to assist in patient care delivery, clerical tasks, and unit organization. The role requires active California CNA certification or enrollment in a nursing program, plus completion of the Fundamentals of Nursing course with a B or better.

Applicants should have 6 months to 1 year CNA experience (preferred in acute care) and be able to pass a 4-hour EHR training.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months to one year as a Certified Nursing Assistant (preferred) in acute care.
• Active enrollment in an accredited nursing program with Fundamentals of Nursing course (B or better).
• Certified Nurse Assistant certification active in California OR enrolled/ completed RN/LVN/Tech program (foreign or US).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider card.
• Pass USC Verdugo Hills Hospital EHR training course (4 hours).

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing staff support in patient care delivery.
• Assist with clerical tasks and unit organization.
• Set up and maintain equipment and supplies as assigned.
• Adapt to unit needs and priority workload.
