Job summary

Community Health Services Corporation in Prairie du Chien, WI is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our skilled nursing campus. You will assist residents with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment.

This position requires CNA certification and prior experience is preferred. Base wage is $19.70–$22.10 per hour, with 2nd shift differential of $5.20 and weekend differential of $4.50; work 2pm–10pm, every other weekend

Qualifications

• CNA certification is required.
• Experience in skilled nursing or assisted living environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy and basic medical terminology is essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse populations.
• Compassionate approach towards caregiving, especially for individuals with dementia.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to nursing staff.
• Provide catheter care and support for residents with specific medical needs.
• Support residents with dementia through compassionate engagement and assistance.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents at all times.
• Assist in mobility and positioning of residents to ensure comfort and safety.
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate patient care.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to patient care.
