Job summary

MaineGeneral Health in Augusta, ME is seeking a Med/Surg CNA to join 1 West on the Alfond Center for Health. You will provide patient care under the supervision of an RN on a fast-paced CardioPulmonary Med/Surg unit, with three 12-hour day shifts per week and rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• A valid CNA certificate from the State of Maine.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care activities within the scope of practice.
• Greets patients and visitors. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls.
• Calls codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested.
• Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Assists with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly.
