Job summary

Northridge Village in Ames, IA is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our senior living team. The CMA will pass medications under the Charge Nurse, provide direct care, and support tenant service plans in a compassionate community setting.

The role emphasizes infection control, timely response to calls, and collaboration with nursing staff to ensure resident safety and dignity. Evening shift coverage is available alongside other full-time or part-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an approved CMA training program and passed competency examinations to obtain CNA and CMA certification.
• Experience in elder care and medications administration preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control procedures and resident safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications under the direct supervision of the Charge Nurse.
• Provide direct, hands-on care to residents.
• Review Tenant Service Plans and Service Notes for resident needs and changes.
• Assist with meals, housekeeping, and activity participation as assigned.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain a safe, clean environment.
