Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to perform CMA duties in an outpatient care setting under the direction of licensed providers. The candidate should have Medical Assistant certification and at least 1 year of outpatient experience; BLS certification is required, and GA drivers may be needed for Virtual Care

Qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Assistant per AAMA/AMT/NCCT/NAHP/NHA is required upon hire.
• BLS certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year outpatient experience preferred in the relevant specialty.

Responsibilities

• Perform CMA duties including vital signs, injections, specimen collection, and basic tests.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures; prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies.
• Document in EMR and coordinate with clinic staff; handle front desk tasks as assigned.
