Job summary

Novant Health Ogden is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Primary Care team in Wilmington, NC. The CMA will welcome patients, obtain vitals, assist with procedures, administer medications and immunizations, and perform lab duties to support exceptional patient care.

The ideal candidate holds CMA/CCMA/RMA certification or can obtain within 6 months, with prior medical office experience and a valid driver’s license where required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current CMA/CCMA/RMA certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Current State Driver's License (Palliative Care Only) required.
• Previous work in a medical office preferred.
• Ability to successfully complete skills validation and competency testing.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and obtain vital signs as part of the patient intake.
• Assist with procedures and administer medications and immunizations as directed.
• Perform laboratory duties as assigned to support the clinical team.
• Provide administrative support to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
