Heritage Grove Estates in Topeka, Kansas is seeking a dependable Certified Medication Aide to join our nursing team. You will assist with medication administration within your scope of practice and provide direct resident care to promote comfort, dignity, independence, and well-being.

As a CMA, you will document medications, observe residents for changes, and collaborate with licensed nurses and other staff to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Active Kansas CNA certification in good standing.
• Active Kansas Medication Aide certification in good standing.
• Ability to safely perform medication-related responsibilities within the authorized scope of practice.
• Ability to provide compassionate, resident-centered care to individuals with varying needs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications within the CMA's scope of practice under licensed supervision.
• Document medications accurately and promptly per MARs and facility procedures.
• Report medication concerns, refusals, or errors to the supervising nurse.
• Assist with ADLs and provide mobility, feeding, and daily living support.
• Observe residents for changes and report findings to licensed staff.
• Maintain secure handling and storage of medications.
• Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, and other team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Uphold resident rights, privacy, and confidentiality while delivering quality care.
