Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a part-time Chaplain to provide timely pastoral care to patients, families, and staff. You will respond to inpatient referrals within 24 hours and outpatient referrals within 48 hours, including evenings and weekends, while collaborating with clergy and campus leadership.

The role requires a Master’s degree in theology or related field, Board Certified Chaplain preferred, and willingness to cover multiple campuses with on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Provides timely pastoral care and spiritual support to patients, families, and staff during crises, emergencies, and routine situations.
• Responds to inpatient referrals within 24 hours and outpatient referrals within 48 hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Participates in mandatory facility-wide and department training, demonstrating knowledge of fire, safety, and disaster procedures.
• Collaborates with community clergy and local congregations to provide spiritual care and educational workshops.
• Engages in leadership spiritual formation and supports campus/entity leadership through spiritual care resources.
