Job summary

The Children’s Guild is seeking a compassionate Classroom Aide to provide direct one-on-one support to students with special needs in a full-time role based in Chillum, MD. You will work with teachers and therapists to ensure individualized attention and successful learning experiences in the classroom.

Responsibilities include implementing IEP goals, assisting in crisis de-escalation, and documenting student progress while collaborating with families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or higher.
• Experience in special education preferred.
• Ability to work with students with autism.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Collaborate with teachers and families to implement IEP goals.
• Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
• Document student progress and behavioral observations.
