Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health is seeking a Certified Patient Care Technician to assist patients with daily living activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will support the healthcare team and families while maintaining high ethical standards and contributing to quality patient care.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, feeding, vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, documenting care, and reinforcing education.

Qualifications

• High School/GED is required.
• Successful completion of Patient Care Technician training and active Patient Care Technician Certification required.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, hygiene, mobility, transport).
• Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, point-of-care testing, EKGs, and Foley catheter care as directed by RN.
• Identify and communicate changes in patient status to the RN and respond appropriately.
• Reinforce education for patients and families regarding care needs and safety.
• Participate in patient satisfaction initiatives and quality improvement activities.
• Complete annual hospital and unit-specific competencies by the required due date.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and coworkers.
