Job summary

Maniilaq Association in Kotzebue, Alaska seeks a Certified Nurse’s Aide for our Long Term Care program. The role provides quality nursing care under supervision, following individual care plans and coordinating with the care team.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, reporting changes, and maintaining a compassionate, respectful environment for residents and families. Must meet CNA requirements and be able to work rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must hold current CNA certificate.
• CPR certification required.
• Food handler course upon hire required.
• Must be able to lift at least 60 pounds.
• Criminal history statement and fingerprints required; no disqualifying record.
• Knowledge of Inupiaq language and culture preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality nursing care to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Follows care plans and documents observations and changes.
• Attends care plan meetings and coordinates with the team.
• Assists residents with grooming, bathing, feeding, hygiene and mobility.
• Maintains resident rights and dignity and promotes well‑being.
