Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Physician Services is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our patient care team. Under supervision of a physician, APP, or RN, you will perform a variety of clinical tasks to support safe, efficient care and a positive patient experience.

Candidates should complete a medical assistant or nursing assistant program, or have one year of related clinical experience; CPR/BCLS is required, CMA-AAMA or NCMA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED preferred.
• Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or Nursing Assistant program required.
• In lieu of formal education, 1 year of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care activities under supervision of physician, APP, or RN.
• Follow established guidelines and standards.
• Support care team to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
