Job summary

AdventHealth in Ormond Beach, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinic operations and patient care. The role involves preparing patients and equipment, performing screenings, and documenting results in the designated system.

You will assist with minor procedures and ensure clear patient education during visits. Includes maintaining confidentiality, following safety policies, and managing inventory.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year of related work experience preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
• Maintains education requirements and demonstrates competency through annual clinical competencies and tests.
• Ensures efficient office flow by preparing patients and equipment for treatment and documenting results.
• Maintains OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance and safety policies.
• Provides whole care to patients during visits, including intake, tests, screenings, labs, medication administration and care gap closure.
• Maintains confidentiality of employees' and patients' information.
• Assists with minor procedures and ensures accurate documentation at time of service.
• Educates patients regarding tests, medications and diet with clear instructions.
• Monitors inventory and ensures adequate supplies and functioning equipment.
