Job summary

The Rehabilitation Center of Independence is seeking a compassionate Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to ensure medications are administered safely and on time under the supervision of the Charge Nurse.

The role supports residents with a resident-centered approach, documentation, and collaboration with nursing staff. A sign-on bonus is offered for full-time employment as part of a supportive team in Independence, MO.

Qualifications

• Must have current Medication Technician Certification.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Must hold a valid Missouri CNA license.
• Experience in long-term care or patient care preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, written and spoken.
• Strong attention to detail and resident-centered mindset.
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as assigned and document appropriately.
• Report changes to Charge Nurse promptly.
• Complete accurate PRN documentation per guidelines.
• Monitor and report medication reorders.
• Maintain medication inventory documentation.
• Participate in trainings, meetings, and in-services.
• Support a positive, caring environment for residents and team members.
