Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a cashie r at the ARC – Adult Rehabilitation Center in Florida. You will assist customers with purchases, operate and balance a cash register, and help manage donations while maintaining a clean and welcoming sales floor.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and experience in retail or similar roles. Strong English communication and math skills are essential, with a commitment to excellent customer service and teamwork in a faith-based nonprofit

Qualifications

• Knowledge of effective customer service techniques.
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of basic mathematics.
• Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in the English language.

Responsibilities

• Assist store customers in selecting and purchasing items.
• Operate and maintain a cash register; balance the cash drawer and print receipts.
• Prepare and deliver bank deposits when required.
• Respond to customers' questions and assist donors at item drop-offs.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of merchandise and displays; secure the cash register area.
• Answer the store telephone in a tactful and courteous manner.
