Job summary

Cedarbrook Senior Living in Michigan is seeking a dynamic Caregiver to assist residents with personal care, grooming, nutrition and daily activities, while ensuring safety and comfort. You will support dining, transportation between spaces and participate in in-service programs.

The community partners with a CNA training center; after 90 days of employment, employees may enroll in Cedarbrook’s CNA program with costs covered and potential pay differentials for CNAs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Health care or nurse’s aide training (100 hours) preferred.
• One year nurse’s aide experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents in personal care including grooming, hygiene, dressing, nutrition, etc.
• Assists residents to and from dining room as needed and assists with meals.
• Encourages and assists residents to participate in activities.
• Listens to and understands residents' problems and reports observations to Director as appropriate.
• Participates in in-service programs to expand and develop abilities.
• Sets a good example for residents and staff by appearance, conduct and interest in job.
• Maintains compliance with personnel policies, community policies and Federal/State regulations.
• Understands and implements Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness procedures during drills and emergencies.
• Dependable with attendance and punctuality.
