Mennonite Village in Albany, Oregon is seeking dedicated Caregivers to support residents with daily living activities and to promote dignity and independence. You will respond to call lights, assist with meals, mobility, and monitor health status in a collaborative, values-based community.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current Heimlich maneuver training.
• First Aid certification and Food Handler’s card within 120 days of hire.
• Demonstrated understanding of resident rights, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Respond promptly to call lights and ensure they remain within residents’ reach.
• Assist with meal preparation, serving, set‑up, feeding, and clean‑up.
• Support residents with mobility, positioning, transfers, and transportation to activities.
• Monitor resident health status and report changes promptly to the Team Leader or licensed nurse.
