Job summary

D&S Community Services, part of Sevita, is seeking caring individuals to join our mission-driven team in Henderson, TN. As a caregiver, you’ll help people live well by assisting with daily activities, building relationships, and supporting personal goals in a home- and community-based setting.

You’ll work with participants who may have developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges, providing compassionate support, promoting independence, and helping with budgeting, exercise, and nutrition

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with personal hygiene and support individuals with behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
• Take initiative to help participants be part of the community and enjoy their favorite activities.
• Support participants with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Build real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve.
• Demonstrate compassion, patience, and reliability in daily caregiving tasks.
