Job summary

Lutheran SeniorLife is seeking a caregiver for Beaver, PA, offering a $6,000 sign-on bonus and a starting pay rate of $17 per hour. The role involves assisting participants with personal care and daily living activities, in home settings, under LIFE program guidelines.

Travel to client homes is required and previous elderly care experience is preferred. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of caregiving experience, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience providing care to an individual with a disability or support needs commensurate with waiver participants.
• Must have dependable transportation with a valid driver’s license to visit clients in their homes and other sites.
• At least 1 year of experience with the frail or elderly.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with all aspects of personal care activities.
• Implement strategies for promoting increased levels of self-care when possible.
• Reinforce and comply with rehab initiatives and clinical modalities.
