Lutheran SeniorLife is seeking a Caregiver for the Weekend Program in New Castle, PA. The role offers a starting pay rate of $17 per hour with additional premium pay for weekend hours and a $6,000 sign-on bonus paid throughout the first year.

Located in New Castle, Lawrence County, this full-time position supports participants with personal care and daily living activities, within Lutheran SeniorLife’s LIFE program and other services in western Pennsylvania.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED; or 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience providing care to an individual with a disability or support needs commensurate with the participants served in the waiver or related educational experience.
• Dependable transportation with a valid driver’s license to visit clients in their homes and other sites.
• At least one (1) year experience with the frail or elderly.

Responsabilidades

• Assisting participants with all aspects of personal care activities and implementing strategies for promoting increased levels of self-care when possible.
• Assisting participants with Instrumental activities of daily living and implementing strategies for promoting increased levels of independence when possible.
• Reinforcing and complying with all rehab initiatives and clinical modalities.

Caregiver Pay Rate starting at $17 per hour with an additional premium pay when working weekend hours.

Lutheran SeniorLife provides a comprehensive array of community-based health and social service programs throughout western Pennsylvania.

Our services include LIFE (Living Independence for the Elderly); skilled nursing, home health; personal care; adoption & foster care; assisted living; adult day services; memory care; hospice; palliative care; residential living; affordable housing; home safety monitoring; Meals on Wheels; rehabilitation services and private duty.

LIFE is a program that serves county residents living in Armstrong, Butler, Beaver and Lawrence Counties. It is an all-inclusive comprehensive program that helps individuals maintain their independence in their home and community through supportive services. The LIFE programs offer an array of person-centered services from medical care to adult day supports with the primary goal of allowing individuals to remain in their own home.
