Job summary

Nightingale Respite Care is seeking a dedicated caregiver to join our team and help provide quality non-medical homecare to our aging population. You will offer companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and cheerful support to clients in their homes.

The position requires at least 1 year of caregiver experience, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• 1 year caregiver experience in health care, nursing home, hospital or homecare setting required.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Valid driver’s license/state ID and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Housekeeping
• Assist with transfers and ambulation
• Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming
• Plan, prepare and serve meals with client assistance
• Assist with toileting
• Report unusual events to administrator
• Act quickly in emergencies
• Complete other duties per Client Service Plan
