Job summary

HR Alliance is hiring caring and dependable Caregivers to support individuals in daily living and community participation. Caregivers will work with participants and families to promote independence, dignity, safety, and quality of life in accordance with service plans and HR Alliance policies.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, meals, mobility, documentation, and reporting health/safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Must meet applicable program and employment eligibility requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred but may not be required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Compassionate, patient, reliable, and respectful.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Ability to complete required documentation accurately and promptly.
• Must complete required orientation and training before independently performing duties.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license may be required depending on the participant's needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and household activities related to care.
• Provide companionship, supervision, and person-centered support.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and other physical support when required and properly trained.
• Support participants with community activities, appointments, errands, and other authorized activities.
• Encourage independence by allowing participants to make choices and participate in daily activities.
