Independent Home Health is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support a client in their home. The role emphasizes companionship, daily help with ADLs, meal preparation, light housework, and safety monitoring to maintain dignity and well-being.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and family members.
• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy for clients.
• Patience, empathy and a strong work ethic; 1 year caregiving experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility.
• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping such as laundry, dishwashing and tidying living areas.
• Monitor and report changes in health, behavior or environment.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with transportation to appointments, errands or social activities if applicable.
• Follow care plans and document services provided.
• Maintain client dignity, confidentiality and safety at all times.
