Job summary

Sun Health in Surprise, AZ is seeking a Certified Caregiver to support assisted living residents with compassionate non-medical care and safety. You will greet residents, provide companionship, assist with daily living tasks, and help manage calendars, medications reminders, and routine activities.

The role emphasizes following care plans, documenting care in the EMR, and upholding the Sun Health Mission and Values while contributing to a friendly, safe community for residents and team members

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Caregiver training program with supervisory, personal and directed hours.
• Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card current or able to obtain.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• AZ Food Handlers Card current.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
• Provide companionship and safe non-medical care.
• Perform routine tasks with little supervision.
• Take vital signs and assist with walking and light exercise.
• Assist with dining, serving meals and clean-up.
• Make beds, change linens, laundry and ironing as needed.
• Light housekeeping and safe environment maintenance.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Engage residents in physical and mental activities.
• Provide medication reminders and documentation in EMR.
• Follow service plan and support resident independence.
• Record daily care notes and update activities in EMR.
• Demonstrate Sun Health Mission and Values.
