Job summary

Sun Health Corporation in Surprise, AZ, invites you to join The Colonnade as a Certified Caregiver. You will provide supervisory or direct care, companionship, and non-medical support to assisted living residents, with shifts including Wed 12pm–6pm and Thu–Sat 6am–6pm.

You’ll record observations, monitor residents, take vital signs, assist with activities, meals, and daily living tasks while upholding Sun Health values and safety standards. Competitive hourly pay offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Caregiver Training Program approved by NCIA with ALTP number, including supervisory, personal and directed hours.
• Current Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain.
• Current Adult CPR and First Aid Card.
• Current AZ Food Handlers Card.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
• Provide companionship and safe non-medical care to residents.
• Perform routine tasks with little supervision.
• Take vital signs.
• Assist with walking and light exercise.
• Assist with dining, serve meals and ensure tray distribution.
• Make beds, change linens, do laundry and ironing.
• Light housekeeping: dusting, vacuuming, waste removal.
• Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Encourage participation in activities and follow the activity calendar.
• Record daily care notes and document observations in EMR system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet all residents and visitors to the facility in a friendly, cheerful and professional manner.
• Provide companionship and safe non-medical care to residents.
• Perform routine tasks little to no supervision.

• Assist with walking and light exercise.
• Perform dining assistance to include serving, distributing meal trays, encourage consuming food/fluids, and clean up of meal area/items.
• Make beds, change linens, laundry and ironing, as needed.
• Light housekeeping to include dusting, vacuuming and removing garbage.
• Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Engage in physical and mental exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and medication management with proper documentation.
• Assist with calendar reminders and distribution of mail.
• Encourage participation when implementing activities on the activity calendar.
• Follow the written service plan and suggest techniques to maintain or improve resident independence.
• Ensure resident safety and security by supervising the home environment.
• Ability to record daily care notes; complete and maintain daily activities and observations within electronic medical record system.

Your Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED; or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certificate of Completion of Caregiver Training Program approved by NCIA board to include ALTP number with supervisory, personal and directed hours.
• Current or able to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Current Adult CPR and First Aide Card.
• Current AZ Food Handlers Card

Shift Differential of $2.25 increase in hourly wage from M-F 6pm to 6am & Friday 6pm - Monday 6am**
