Job summary

Sevita is hiring a caregiver in Texas to support individuals with developmental disabilities at home and in the community. You’ll assist with personal hygiene, help participants participate in activities, and build meaningful relationships while upholding dignity and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Strong communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, and time-management skills.
• Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible behaviors.
• Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with personal hygiene and support those with complex needs.
• Help participants participate in community activities and work toward personal goals (budgeting, exercise, nutrition).
• Develop meaningful relationships and demonstrate compassion, reliability, and respect for participants.
