Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy of Southern Arizona is seeking 1-2 caregivers to support an older adult male in central Tucson with a highly consistent schedule. This part-time role offers predictable shifts and an opportunity to provide meaningful assistance in daily living.

Role includes transfer using a hoyer lift, dressing, toileting assistance, bathing, meal prep and light housekeeping. Applicants should have experience with developmental disabilities, be patient and reliable, and capable of lifts

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Comfortable with a high level of personal care and confident working with individuals who may be non-verbal or who have limited verbal communication
• Calm, patient, and steady under pressure
• Reliable and committed to a consistent weekly schedule
• Experience with lifts and transfers strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Utilize a hoyer lift to get in/out of bed and in/out of wheelchair
• Dressing
• Assistance with toileting (urinal and bed pan)
• Bathing/Toothbrushing
• Meal Prep/Light Housekeeping
