Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy of Southern Arizona is seeking a compassionate Caregiver for evenings in central Tucson. This part-time role supports an older adult male with a stable, predictable schedule.

Duties include transfers with a hoyer lift, dressing, toileting assistance, bathing, and basic grooming. Experience with developmental disabilities and non-verbal individuals is preferred; FA/CPR certification and clearances are required.

Qualifications

• Able to follow a consistent weekly schedule.
• FA/CPR certification and clearances required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Use hoyer lift to move client in/out of bed and wheelchair.
• Assist with dressing and bathing.
• Provide toileting assistance and hygiene.
• Monitor safety and report changes to caregiver supervisor.

Location: Tucson, AZ
Pay: $18/ hour (part time)

UCPSA is seeking 1-2 confident, compassionate, and experienced caregivers to support an older adult male who lives in central Tucson. This is a highly consistent, predictable role—ideal for someone who values routine and a dependable schedule.

What you’ll do:

• Utilize a hoyer lift to get in/out of bed and in/out of wheelchair
• Dressing
• Assistance with toileting (urinal and bed pan)
• Bathing/Toothbrushing

Who you are:

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Comfortable with a high level of personal care and confident working with individuals who may be non-verbal or who have limited verbal communication
• Calm, patient, and steady under pressure
• Reliable and committed to a consistent weekly schedule
• Experience with lifts and transfers strongly preferred!

Available Shifts

• Sunday 5pm-11pm
• Monday 5pm-11pm
• Tuesday 8am-3pm and 5pm-11pm
• Thursday 5pm-11pm
• Saturdays 5:30pm-11pm

Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to travel independently to client’s visits
• Ability to obtain a FA/CPR certification
• Successful fingerprint and DES/CPS/APS clearance
• Ability to work without direct supervision
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and meet the physical requirements of caregiving
