Job summary

Lakewood Retirement Community-LifeSpire in Richmond, VA is seeking Part-Time As Needed CNAs and PCAs to provide companionship and assist residents with daily activities. You will escort residents to appointments, help with errands, meals, and light housekeeping while maintaining resident rights and a positive, compassionate attitude.

The role emphasizes person-centered care, strong communication, and the ability to work flexibly in a community setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and effectively write in English and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Understanding of geriatric care or aging process is helpful.
• Able to follow directions and maintain professional conduct.
• Experience in health care environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort residents to and from medical appointments and activities.
• Provide companionship, conversation, and light social engagement.
• Assist with meal preparation and basic meal planning.
• Assist with shopping, errands, and personal tasks.
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, ironing, bed linens, and dishwashing.
• Maintain resident rights and comply with community policies.
