Job summary

Senior Helpers West Jacksonville is seeking a caring caregiver to support clients in their home in the West Jacksonville area (Riverside, Avondale and nearby ZIP codes). You will provide assistance with daily living, meals, mobility, and social engagement, while documenting client condition and progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months caregiving experience preferred.
• CNA or HHA certification welcomed.
• Current in-person CPR certification required.
• Passion for helping others and serving the community.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a Level II background screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide a helping hand to clients.
• Engage in fun, meaningful conversations with clients.
• Participate in clients’ hobbies such as scrapbooking, gardening or games.
• Prepare meals for clients to enjoy.
• Assist with activities of daily living (walking, dressing, bathing).
• Document activities and report updates on clients’ physical and mental condition.
