Job summary

Sevita’s NeuroRestorative division seeks a compassionate caregiver in New Jersey to support individuals with brain, spinal cord, and other challenges in home and community settings. Starting pay is $16.25/hour with additional differentials for education and experience; full-time and part-time schedules, paid training, mileage reimbursement, and benefits are available.

You will help clients live safely, independently, and with dignity while building meaningful relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months – 1 year of caregiving or human services experience preferred but not required.
• Valid, non-probationary driver’s license held for at least 1 year with no restrictions.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to supporting others.
• Ability to safely bend, lift, and assist individuals with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, including bathing, toileting, and hygiene
• Transport clients to appointments using company vehicles
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping
• Provide wheelchair assistance and ensure safe mobility
• Offer companionship and meaningful social interaction
• Help maintain the safety and well-being of each individual served
• Use proper lifting and body mechanics to safely assist clients
