Job summary

Pineview Cottage in Northern Michigan is seeking a compassionate caregiver to join our growing team on the 1st shift. The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our clients.

Responsibilities include personal hygiene assistance, medication help, mobility support, meal planning, and light housekeeping. This on-site role offers meaningful daily work with seniors in a trusted community setting.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient approach to elder care.
• Ability to provide varying levels of support based on client needs.
• Strong interpersonal skills and dependable work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating.
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation.
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.).
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Assist with physical therapy exercises.
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
