Responsibilities

• Dust and damp mop floors in assigned areas.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, sinks, tubs, floors, and commodes.
• Daily cleaning and sanitizing patient room furniture, sitting rooms, and dining room furniture.
• Remove and dispose of trash and perform related duties as assigned.
• Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions to ensure safety.
• Mix and use cleaning solutions safely and per safety precautions.
• Report equipment or cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisor promptly.
• Ensure established standards, safety and quality guidelines are met.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Follow proper reporting, isolation and handwashing procedures and techniques.
• Maintain punctual attendance and timely completion of cleaning areas per schedule.
• Respond to paging system promptly and appropriately.
