Job summary

Executive Home Care of San Diego is seeking Compassionate Companion & Care Specialists to provide personalized support and companionship to clients across Greater San Diego, including those living with memory-related conditions. You will assist with daily routines, meals, mobility, and light housekeeping to help maintain comfort and independence.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving or personal care experience; experience supporting individuals with memory-related conditions is a plus.
• Patience, reliability, empathy, and a respectful approach to client care.
• Strong communication skills when interacting with clients, families, and team members.
• Ability to follow individualized care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized support and companionship to clients, including individuals living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, ALS, and Parkinson's, while helping them maintain comfort, dignity, and independence in their daily routines.
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene, as assigned
• Provide mobility assistance and support with daily activities according to individual care plans
• Prepare meals and offer companionship during mealtimes
• Assist with light housekeeping, errands, grocery shopping, and approved pick-ups
• Provide transportation to appointments and outings, as applicable
• Observe and communicate changes in clients' needs or well-being to the appropriate care team members
• Build positive relationships with clients and families through dependable, respectful support
