Job summary

Briarwood Village in Ohio is seeking a Housekeeper to perform daily housekeeping across the community, keeping resident rooms, offices, bathrooms, hallways and common areas clean and sanitary.

You will follow policies, assist with infection control, move furniture, and collaborate with residents and staff. Training provided; high school diploma preferred; customer service and reliability are valued.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and have good visual acuity.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in housekeeping or care setting is desirable but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Must follow HCF Policies and Procedures.
• Clean, wash, sanitize and dust resident rooms and care center offices, bathrooms, hallways and common areas.
• Must meet job-related competencies as outlined in the Skills Competency Manual.
• Empty trash and waste into proper containers.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures during daily tasks.
• Attend mandatory in-service education.
• Keep utility, storage areas and equipment neat and clean.
• Follow appropriate Infection Control and Universal Precaution practices when performing department procedures.
• Move and arrange furniture.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff and visitors.
• Participate in cross-training as laundry worker for special assignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
